Moving to Lusaka in May

Hi all

I am moving to Lusaka from Brisbane Australia and I will be working fulltime. At the moment I am considering what to bring; ie beds, linen, crockery, tvs etc but was wondering is it cheaper to buy these goods in Lusaka. Also need advice where the best to live is, as I want to be close to the central business district. Lastly I have heard that the traffic is an absolute nightmare and parking can be a problem. I would appreciate any thoughts, handy hints and any other guidance that anyone is willing to offer? I am looking forward to the move as I have not lived and worked in Africa before.
