The 8th World Peace Forum is being held from Protected content 2014; the event is being organised by the Schengen Peace Foundation in Luxembourg, and is being held at venues in Luxembourg city, in Schengen and the Schengen Lyzeum in Perl (Germany).

This year, The Luxembourg Chronicle is Media Partner for the 5-day event, with a registration discount available to all registered Chronicle readers - see below for details.

The Focus Countries for the Protected content Peace Forum include Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Turkey and Pakistan, and the themes include:

- Do International Organizations bring about Peace?

- Protected content of Multilateralism: Global Cooperation versus Unilateral Governments

- International Organizations, Global NGOs, International Civic Associations

- Where do we go from here? Achievements and Future Perspectives

Sat 21 June @ 09:00: Human Unrest / Women & Stability / Peace Prize @ Schengen Lyzeum, Perl (Germany)

Sun 22 June @ 10:00: After War / Reconstruction / Future Outlook @ Schengen Lyzeum, Perl (Germany)

As in previous years, Conference Speakers come from across the globe, including Europe (Luxembourg, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Poland, The Netherlands), South America (Argentina, Colombia, Brazil), North America (USA), Asia (India, Pakistan, Turkey) and Africa (South Africa).

In parallel to the main Conference Programme, there is a separate, yet interlinked, Arts and Religion Programme.

Attendance: €120 for one day or €400 for the full programme (WPF members & volunteers €45 per day or €160 for the full programme). To register, see Protected content .

The Schengen Peace Foundation was initiated in Protected content a non-profit charity approved by Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg on 19 Oct Protected content . The Foundation contributes to the construction of a more peaceful world by promoting peace, tolerance and understanding through multicultural dialogue with the help of discussions, publications, exhibits and workshops, internet platforms, encounters, exchange and education programs as well as studies about peace.

Le 8ème Forum Mondial de la Paix se tiendra du 18 au 22 Juin Protected content Schengen. L'événement est organisé par la Fondation Schengen pour la Paix, à Luxembourg, et les manifestations auront lieux aussi bien à Luxembourg qu’à Schengen et Perl (Lycée de Schengen, Allemagne).
Les débats et discussions tourneront plus particulièrement autour de la Bosnie-Herzégovine, la Pologne, la Turquie et le Pakistan.

Les thèmes abordés lors de cette semaine seront :

- Les organisations internationales apportent-elles la paix ?

- Protected content de multilatéralisme : Coopération globale versus Gouvernements unilatéraux

- Les organisations internationales, les ONG internationales, les associations civiques internationales

- A partir de là, où allons-nous? Réalisations et perspectives d'avenir

Comme les années précédentes, les conférenciers viennent de partout dans le monde, d’Europe (Luxembourg, France, Allemagne, Espagne, Norvège, Pologne, Pays-Bas), d'Amérique du Sud (Argentine, Colombie, Brésil), d’Amérique du Nord (Etats-Unis), d’Asie (Inde, Pakistan, Turquie) et d’Afrique (Afrique du Sud).

En parallèle au programme principal, un programme supplémentaire et interdépendant autour des Arts et des Religions .

La Fondation Schengen paix a été lancé en Protected content un organisme de bienfaisance à but non lucratif agréé par le Grand -Duc Henri de Luxembourg le 19 Octobre Protected content . Vom 18. bis zum 22. Juni Protected content das 8. World Peace Forum; die Konferenz wird durch die luxemburgische Schengen Peace Foundation organisiert und findet in Luxemburg-Stadt, Schengen und im Schengen-Lyzeum, Perl statt.

Themenländer des World Peace Forum Protected content unter anderen Bosnien und Herzegowina, Polen, die Türkei und Pakistan, angesprochen werden außerdem folgende Fragen:

Wie in vorherigen Jahren kommen Redner aus aller Welt um am World Peace Forum teilzunehmen, hierbei sind Europa, (Luxemburg, Frankreich, Deutschland, Spanien, Norwegen, Polen und den Niederlanden), Südamerika (Argentinien, Brasilien und Kolumbien), Nordamerika (USA), Asien (Indien, Pakistan und der Türkei) und Afrika (Südafrika) vertreten.

Parallel zum Hauptprogramm der Konferenz gibt es ein separates, dennoch verbundenes künstlerisches und religiöses Programm
