Doctors

The Collège Médical is the overseeing body for all medical doctors, dentists and pharmacists working in Luxembourg. The website can be used to search for a doctor specialising in any discipline. Many doctors in Luxembourg speak English although their receptionists may not.

Most doctors see patients by appointment, although there may be an allotted time during the day when doctors see patients without an appointment. Most general practitioners will also visit patients at home.

The rules of the Collège Médical prohibit the publishing of names of doctors and medical practitioners except in general directories.

Veterinarians

An emergency vet service for injured or ill animals is available at all times (24/7) across the Grand-Duchy. Most veterinarians speak fluent English.

Note: The heading "Animaux de compagnie / Kleintiere" refers to small pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.). The heading "Animaux de rente / Grosstiere" refers to larger animals (horses and farm animals).

Pharmacies

In general, pharmacies are open from 08: Protected content and 13: Protected content . Each pharmacy will have a sign in the window with the address of the nearest all-night pharmacy and a list of pharmacies that close late. Most chemists speak English.
