InterNations Luxembourg 2012 Ski event

Dear snow-addicts,

This January we will go back to Passo Del Tonale (Italy), the best ski resort for learning and improving your skills and have fun. On the border between Lombardy and Trentino, Passo Tonale is a natural amphitheatre that marks the border between the Val di Sole and Vallecamonica. It is open to the sun and boasts fantastic views, due to its altitude from Protected content to Protected content , between the Ortles-Cevedale and Adamello-Presanella mountain ranges.
The winter tourism and summer walking resort at the feet of Ghiacciaio Presena ( Protected content ) offers the possibility to ski all year round with its Protected content of slopes served by modern and quick ski lift facilities. In Passo Tonale ( Protected content ) there are slopes suitable for both beginners and ski experts.
Passo Tonale’s slopes are connected to those of Ponte di Legno in Alta Vallecamonica and hence also with the Temù slopes which run through the fir trees and are more suitable for experienced skiers.
Passo Tonale is one of the first tourist resorts in the Alps to open its ski lift facilities and one of the last to close them.

Last year, we had around 2 meters of fresh snow. The average temperature in January is between –9°C and –1°C.

Lodging

Depending on the type of accomodation you prefer (hotel, residence, apartment) the prices differ slightly.

For hotel accommodation, we recommend the Hotel La Mirandola, located in the middle of the slopes ( Protected content ). Prices can go from Protected content up to Protected content for the 7 days, depending on the options you choose. In this package, is already included: 6 days Ski pass, Catering and 12 hours Ski school lessons.

For apartment accommodation, prices can vary between 360EUR (or less) and 450EUR depending on the size and options taken. Compared to the hotel’s package you – usually – need to buy separately the Ski pass, Catering and Ski school lessons.

Catering

There are plenty of cheap and good restaurants or snacks around, besides the excellent hotel’s restaurants.

Transportation

We will organise a shuttle service from Luxembourg City with our cars. The costs will be calculated on the basis of the space occupied: some people may need space to store their ski equipment, others not. Keep in mind that the distance is around Protected content from Luxembourg, which is doable in 9 hours with stops every 2 hours..

Ski equipment rental

Unless you bring your own equipment, you can rent everything on-site. Discounts are given for some hotels or apartments guests. Prices are more than reasonable (around 40 EUR tbc for the week) and the equipment is of very good quality.

Please confirm your attendance to the event before the 31/10/ Protected content give us your preferences for the accommodation in order to arrange them for you. A full booking deposit will be required for the accommodation.
