Moving to Luxembourg

Hi
We are on the verge of moving to Luxembourg and have so many questions! We are from the UK but lived in Australia for 10 years and now have 2 boys aged 3 and 10 months:
What areas are good to live in with a sense of community? Keen to meet people and make new friends when we get there
What is the childcare system like?
What is schooling like?
My partner is getting a transfer but I'll be looking for work too in IT testing/release management/BA. Just wondering if you need to know French/German? And do places offer flexible working conditions...am worried about looking for part time/flexible work...but would like to spend at least one extra day per week with the children at home.
Is it a friendly place in general?
Am sure I have more questions!!
