English talk (with beautiful slides) giving a fascinating look into the long history of immortalization of Royal plant collections in richly decorated books [a.o. the plants at Highgrove --the Prince of Wales’ garden in Gloucestershire]. Mrs Evans is the artist who developed the diploma course in botanical Painting at the Chelsea Physic Garden, and who led a selection panel ensuring that the paintings met the highest standards.
