The Hague based Foundation THP is pleased to invite you to an afternoon seminar held at Maastricht University on Wednesday 21 May Protected content , from 14:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs where the findings of its project will be presented and there will be a chance for discussion on the implications and recommendations from the project outcomes.

The project, initiated by THP in partnership with United Nations University (UNU-MERIT) and the Maastricht School of Governance, relates to the economic and social integration of migrants and refugees in cities. The project analyzed eight cities:

Rotterdam, Lisbon, Kuala Lumpur, Nairobi, Chicago, Auckland, Buenos Aires and São Paolo

The main aim of the project was to ascertain how businesses and local government in global cities contribute to the integration of migrant and refugee populations, either through outreach, specialized programs, the provision of services or targeted funding of NGOs; and to what extent these contributions can be deepened or expanded.
