Catering Manager wanted in Madagascar
I work for an international television production company called Eccholine. We are going to shoot 'Nomads' production in Tana, Madagascar. For this we are still looking for a Catering Manager.
Eccholine is an international line production company, specialized in organizing complex TV productions. We produce big shows in cooperation with local broadcasters and TV-production companies in Europe, South-East Asia and Latin America. Eccholine’s most known brands are Peking Express (Asia/America Express), Nomads and Ninja Warrior.
As a Catering Manager you are in charge of the daily catering of the whole crew ensuring the good quality of food, diversity of a menu within the given budget and local supplies. You will work closely with the local restaurant (kitchen team) located in the production resort where the crew stays. Together with your colleague (Catering Coordinator) you will take care of lunch on our filming locations and crew dinner. (Breakfasts are served at the hotel).
Main tasks include:
-Plan and create daily nutritious menus, and accommodate any medical/dietary restrictions.
-Supervise the local team working in the kitchen (if applicable).
-Control the food inventory,
-Make price calculations, shopping orders
-Communicate the production schedule of the day with your team
-Ensure all aspects of health and safety regulations are maintained
-Hands-on work experience is required.
-Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, hygiene and food cost controls.
-English and French are MUST.
-You are organized and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
-You are flexible, free (international passport…) and dream of long-term work abroad.
-You are a freelancer.
-You have a great sense of humor and see every problem as a challenge
