PuertoRican to move to Spain (citizenship question (Madrid)

Hello! I am a Puerto Rican looking to move with my english boyfriend to Spain. Because of visa requirements and other details we found that Spain was the easier option for us to move in together.

I am aware of the economic crisis that Spain is going through, so I found my opportunity to enter the country legally by applying to a Teach English as a Second Language program for Americans which gives me a student visa for 8 to 9 months.

My question, if I were to take this program for two years in a row would I be able to apply for Spanish citizenship (so I don't have to worry about being separated from my boyfriend anymore)?

Any other positive recommendations? I know things are tough, so I would like to hear about things I can actually do. Anyone out there that has gone through a similar situation?
