Spanish Banks - Safe? (Madrid)

I have noticed that a lot of people are moving their accounts and taking money out since the Bankia affair and the downgrading of Spanish Banks. Anyone on here who has a view on it? I am putting less money in my Spanish bank and keeping more cash at hand instead.
