Has anyone else experienced problems with Protected content ? We recently moved from the UK and hired a truck to do the move ourselves. We booked a channel crossing with Direct Ferries using their website. We gave them correct details of the vehicle, were quoted a price and made a booking. When we arrived the terminal, we were refused entry as the booking was 'invalid' and we were forced to pay again - More than twice the original price for a return crossing. Direct Ferries have so far refused a refund and blame us for not noticing the 'small print' that states that the vehicle we were using should be booked via the freight section of the website. We will be pursuing our claim that we were wrongly sold a service that was of no value but in the meantime anyone else considering using them for a move from the UK should be aware of their shocking attitude to their customers.
