What exactly is Certificado literal de matrimonio? (Madrid)

Good afternoon fellow members,
Before going through with my civil union in Madrid, I'm required to present the above mentioned document, with a notation of divorce. From my previous experience, this is not a divorce certificate. Is there anyone who can clarify for me before I solicit this from my county?
