The Corporate Advisory & Research Analyst role calls for a dynamic, organised and self-motivated individual with the capacity to build strong client relationships and the ability to prioritise their daily workload while working accurately and efficiently under pressure. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills, be IT literate and proficient in Microsoft office applications. A sound understanding of financial markets, particularly the local market, as well as an academic qualification in Finance, Banking, Accounting or Economics is a must for this role while a good working knowledge of the MFSA Listing Rules and experience in working with multiple currencies would be considered an asset. Applicants must have a proven ability to analyse company reports and form an opinion on results and performance whilst also possessing advanced report writing, organisational and time management skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have a proven track record of achieving agreed goals, targets and objectives.
Previous experience in Finance, Accounting or Auditing is essential for this role.
The selected candidate will assist the CEO in the company’s growing corporate advisory services, which include acting as Sponsors to companies to assist them in the primary listing and public offering of both equity and bonds on the Malta Stock Exchange, assisting private companies with private placement of equity and acting as corporate advisor to various listed companies. The Corporate Advisory & research Analyst will be expected to take a prominent role in the provision of these services: acting as liaison between the client, the MFSA and the MSE; ensuring that the individual assignment is completed within specified time frames; maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring a high quality service to clients; planning and coordinating deliverables by all stakeholders as well as attending meetings with high ranked officials of the corporate client and gaining and maintaining a good working knowledge of the MFSA Listing Rules; strong planning and coordination of deliverables by all stakeholders, preparation of sponsor related reports such as the Financial Analysis Summary in the case of bond issues in terms of the Listing Policies; maintain an ongoing relationship with corporate clients to ensure that they will touch base for any ongoing advice and utilise our service for future projects(including) stock broking activities) and actively seeking companies that may be candidates for a listing and reviewing financial statements to ensure that such a company would be ideal for the market. The selected candidate will also be: compiling regular financial market reports; reviewing and analysing listed company reports and financials; forming an opinion the state of affairs of listed companies and formulating a report for circulation; attending listed company meetings and broker briefings; maintaining stock market related statistics and databases and coordinating and assisting in the continued upkeep of the company’s website.
