Finance and Administration Manager - 1408021 (Malta)

Skills: This position calls for a proactive individual with excellent analytical and organisation skills. Applicants must have an Accounting Qualification (B. Accountancy (Hons), ACCA or equivalent), be highly proficient in the use of office and accountancy software, and be capable of managing strict deadlines.

Experience: The selected candidate must have 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Finance Manager role whilst direct experience in company administration and operations is necessary.

Duties: The Finance and Administration Manager will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for all finance and office management responsibilities. Duties will include but are not limited to; planning, organising and controlling all operations in the Finance department within the parameters of the organisation’s objectives; formulating strategic analysis and attaining set targets; preparing and keep rolling budgets at least on a quarterly basis and analysing/comparing to actual result; presenting top management with variances reports; generating and interpreting monthly financial statements; analysing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, predicting short and long term capital requirements; negotiating loans with banks; compiling feasibility studies; measuring the organisation’s performance against financial plans; ensuring that the electronic stock system is correct and functional at all times; designing and conducting walk-through tests of operating controls, including in accounts, stores, and shop sections; reporting findings to top management and designing and implementing measures to strengthen weaknesses detected; ensuring that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations; preparing costings of large jobs in order to assist top management in quotations for such projects; taking over project management of specific jobs, especially from a financial and administrative point of view; formulating policies and managing daily operations whilst also preparing reports and setting budgets together with the Managing Director.
