The Junior Internal Auditor will be reporting to the Auditor. Duties will include but are not limited to: assisting in the planning, organization and development of the annual internal audit plan to be presented to the Audit Committee for approval; assisting the Lead Auditor in carrying out reviews and audits on the Group’s various auditable units defined in the Group’s Audit Universe; assisting the Lead Auditor in Reporting on the findings identified through the audit reviews, in making recommendations and monitoring the Auditee’s response and implementation; assisting the Lead Auditor in the Department’s Remote Monitoring responsibilities; reporting to Internal Audit Management on areas needing improvement, thus ensuring an effective risk control environment, assets are safeguarded and information is protected; assisting the Lead Auditor, the Group Head Internal Audit or his/her assistant on any activities of the Group in providing advice to Management within Internal Audit Department’s advisory role; conducting any other reviews or tasks requested by the Group Head Internal Audit or his/her assistant on any activities of the Group as long as these do not compromise the independence or objectivity of the Internal Auditor; ensuring that audits are performed on a risk based approach, at the same time assuring departmental efficiency through proper time management; ensuring that working methodologies as detailed in the Internal Audit Manual are invariably maintained and complied to; identifying training requirements in line with the Internal Auditor’s defined responsibilities whilst assisting in the Department’s General Administrative duties, including but not limited to upkeep and maintenance of Timesheets, etc.
This position calls for a smart, enthusiastic, energetic individual with a willingness to learn and who is a good team player. Applicants should be in possession of ACCA or equivalent. The right candidate must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS office applications. The chosen applicant must have an excellent command of the English Language.
