Language courses at Local Councils (Malta)

The Local Councils’ Association is the project leader of the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) project which is part-financed by the European Union. The aim of the project is to provide Third Counry Nationals (TCNs) with the opportunity to learn and improve their competence of the two official languages of Malta and the cultural norms which are practiced on this island. This will help TCNs understand better the Maltese way of life and as a result they will feel integrated more within the Maltese society. This project will also raise the participants’ employment prospects because English and Maltese are the working languages of Maltese businesses, industries and the public sector.

The Local Councils’ Association together with Floriana local council, Santa Venera local council, Valletta local council and with the cooperation of St. Paul’s Bay local council will be providing the following courses to Third Country National’s (Chinese, Filipinos, Ukrainian, and Georgian) residing in Malta or in the process of obtaining residence in Malta;
