Living costs. (Malta)

I am trying to calculate what the living expenses our likely to be for 2 people living in a modest 2/3 bedroom appartment.
Can any one tell me what the average costs are for Rent, utilities such as electricity, gas, water etc per month?
Is there a habitation tax and if so how much?
What is the cost of a litre of petrol/deisel?
I do realise that each household is different but I am trying to work out if we can afford to live in Malta on a Mr averages wage.
