Our clients are a leading, well established and highly reputed investment services company providing a wide array of investment services. The Company is a member of the Malta Stock Exchange and is licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority.

The Trader and Research Analyst will be reporting to the Director. Duties will include but are not limited to: performing the daily trading function including some pre and post trading obligation as part of the trading desk team; contacting third party providers for transmission of orders across international markets; managing trading related client enquiries and taking orders; reviewing and analysing company reports and financials; assisting in the reporting requirements of a number of client portfolios; following international equity and bond corporate actions to assist back-office in their requirements and obligations; maintaining stock market related statistics and databases; attending periodic company meetings and broker briefings as instructed whilst also assisting with other related duties as may be necessary from time to time.

This position calls for a mature and responsible individual with a high degree of attention to detail and confidentiality. The chosen candidate must have a strong desire to work in a team and be flexible in approach and availability with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and strong IT skills. Applicants must be fluent in English and Maltese, have a sound understanding of financial markets (especially fixed income and equity) and local regulation. An investment services-related qualification/s approved by the MFSA is essential and preferably be approved as an accredited representative of the Malta Stock Exchange.

An attractive remuneration package

A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar post is essential. Candidates with previous trading experience on the Malta Stock Exchange’s XETRA Platform will be preferred.
