Wages and Jobs?? (Malta)

Looking at moving to Malta next year with my husband and teenage daughter. I have attended my junior years of schooling in malta many years ago and have recently returned for a holiday. Was just wondering what the average wages are like.?? I have googled but cant seem to find any current info. I currently work in administration at a large hospital but have experience in banking, child care, retail sales and retail management roles. I dont speak maltese very well anymore but am sure it will all come back to me very quickly. Would it be easier for me to just move and then locate schools for my daughter and look for jobs when I get there?? I understand it would be easier to find these things first before selecting an area/city to find a more permanent rental place. Any help would be much appreciated.
