Stunning Ecolodge getaway in Jinotega, non-profit (Managua)

Hi all,

I work with the charity Teach A Man To Fish and we support a Technical Agricultural High School in Jinotega which is trying to become financially self-sufficient with its 7 small businesses.

One of the most important of these is La Bastilla Ecolodge, set within the stunning Datanli nature reserve, it enjoys panoramic views across a valley in a cloud forest ecosystem with shade grown coffee certified by Rainforest Alliance.

The hotel is 100% off grid and offers cosy wooden cabins with balconies & rocking chairs to enjoy the views, and private bathrooms with solar hot water showers and solar electricity. Our restaurant serves fresh, local produce and of course our freshly ground gourmet coffee. You can enjoy bird watching, hiking, nature tours, coffee tours, visit to the school and its agricultual businesses and much more. The weather is often up to 10 degrees cooler than Managua, so perfect for getting away from this heatwave!

You can see more on the website: Protected content and on our facebook page: Protected content . You can reserve by contacting Protected content , and if you mention InterNations you will receive a 15% discount on your accommodation.

Our hotel serves as a training centre for tourism and hotellery so you get to interact directly with our wonderful students and graduates. Additionally we have special events happening throughout Independence Day weekend including a community parade, cultural night and atolera (maize festival).

Don't miss this very special Ecolodge, and the chance to contribute to improving the quality of education for local youth! Protected content
