Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with one of the largest annual events in Manchester city centre, attracting people from all different backgrounds and cultures.

Last year, over 65,000 people came to the celebrations making it the biggest Chinese festival in the North. To continue the great success, the Protected content of the Dragon will be even bigger and better!

Join the start of the celebrations on Friday 27 Jan for a Variety Show by the Chinese Art Troupe at Manchester Central Exchange Auditorium, Manchester, M2 3GX. Protected content

Head down to Chinatown and Albert Square on Sunday 29 Jan - stalls will be open from 11am, enjoy performances between 12 noon -7pm, and marvel at the fireworks display from approx 6pm. The high pole lion dance performance is set to be the most spectacular in the UK so far!
