Will Science Save the World? Let's debate together (Manchester)

You are all invited to a FREE and public EXTRAORDINARY event. It is, and it will be on the day my pleasure to introduce

Prof. Lucio Piccirillo, Professor of Radio Astronomy Technology at the School of Physics andAstronomy, and Prof. John Harris Lord Alliance Professor of Bioethics, the University of Manchester.

Together, they will discuss the hopes and fears surrounding science, ranging from the risks and hopes associated with the Hadron Collider, to H1n5 virus and the threats of bioterrorism. They will engage with the public, and will answer any question arising.

Come along, this will be a stimulating event, and will also provide us with a chance to engage with each other as a group on important social issues that are of interest to everybody internationally.

The event is FREE. It is on Friday 24th of May, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Manchester Conference Centre, in Sackville Street, M1.
