Advice on Driver and Maid (Manila)

Hi there,

I'm close to accepting a role in Manila, moving up some time in December.

I'm looking for either a live in or live out maid..... Probably prefer live out, as I've never had anyone non-family liver under the same roof. I've picked up from this forum that it's best to see one from word of mouth and to seek references, and that also single women with no dependencies (kids or husband).

I would like some advice on what an appropriate monthly salary would be (for live in and live out).

In relation to grocery shopping etc... do you normally just give the maid cash and away she goes, returning with groceries and receipt ?

In relation to a driver, I would also like to know what an appropriate salary would be ?..... I presume I have to provide the vehicle, in which case I will need to negotiate this with my employer.

By way of background, I will be living in The Fort, with my partner in a large 3 b/r Condo.
