Getting paid in philippines peso (Manila)

Hi,
I may be moving to the philippines and one of my concerns is getting paid in the local currency, as it fluctuates.
Wondering if any expats here have a strategy to avoid being financially hit is currency changes are for the worst (ex.: do you exchange into USD immediately after you get paid.)
Also, in my case it is a company transfer, so wondering if anyone has had a particular clause that should be included in my contract regarding the currency equalization.
Your advice is much appreciated.
