Job Market Very Quiet? (Manila)
My company is having trouble finding Filipino applicants for several I.T roles we have open right now. Someone has said this might be because of something called "13-month-pay" which might mean everyone wants to hold onto their jobs until the end of the year when they receive a big bonus. Does anyone know if this is true? Am I better off waiting until January to advertise for positions when perhaps there'll be a major flood of awesome people looking for work once they've had their bonuses? Or am I completely missing the reason why getting good candidates right now seems to be so difficult.
