Manila on business where should I stay

Hi, At the risk of sounding a bit forward, I would like to ask the following.

As mentioned in a few posts I live in Mindoro (3 hours from Manila) and would like to come to Manila at least once every 2 months to visit. Problem being the hotels that I feel safe to stay in are over php Protected content a night, making my Manila trips expensive for my budget if I include transport ,food, taxi's and all .

Does anyone know of a good solution for me? Craigs list? Weekend swap? I have an amazing place to swap if you want to come to Puerto. I'm looking for a safe and central place to stay in Manila. (Last time I was knee deep in floods trying to get to my crap but expensive hotel after having an eye operation!)

I would like to come for 1 or 2 nights every 2 months.
