New Taxi Fares (Manila)

New taxi fares are being phased in in Metro Manila.

Previously, white cabs were PHP 30 flagfall, and PHP 2.50 for each Protected content or 2 mins waiting time.

From this month the flagfall will be PHP 40 and every 300m or 2mins wait time will be PHP 3.50. Only taxis which have been approved can charge the new fares. They should have an LTFRB sticker. However the new taxis can now issue receipts, which may be a plus for people claiming fares back.

For comparison, yellow airport taxis are PHP 70 flagfall, and PHP 4.00 every Protected content .

Thought I'd post this info, as it seems to be taking effect.
