Weekend Trips out of Manila - travel buddies

Hi Everyone,

I'm pretty new to Manila and I'm only here for a few months (probably).

I'm looking to get a few trips away to see some different places - Banaue Rice Terraces, Sagada, Boracay, Bicol & Palawan amongst others.

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this position - lot's of places to go to but nobody to go to them with :-(
In fact, having spoken to a couple of people tonight over dinner I think there a few in the same boat.

so, putting it a few question out there:
- Who would be keen to go on a few trips out of town?
- do you have any suggestions of places to go/places you want to go?
- Is anyone going on any trips myself or others could tag onto?
- could you help out? (suggestions of travel options, good places to stay etc)

Clearly the places I listed above are all overnight/long weekend options, but suggestions of closer places for day trips are more than welcome
