Visit in Mannheim 2.8. - 3.8.13

I just got an invitation for a job interview in Mannheim : Friday, 2.8., 1 pm. I indend to go back to Berlin by train not before Saturday. Do you have any ideas what to do/see in Mannheim on Friday afternoon/evening/Saturday morning? Any nice places, bars, restaurants, cafes??? Does anybody know a nice accommodation e.g. nice and cosy B & B, private room, hotel (simple but clean, safe and quiet)? Looking forward to your ideas and answers.
