Fun way to help others and meet new people (Maputo)

Do you have some spare time to volunteer with a great fun organisation?

Livro Aberto is looking for people to fill the following roles over the next few months?

Saturday 13th April - Literacy in the Park 10h Protected content Volunteers required for bookstall, reading area and creative activities, Portuguese speaking helpful but not essential. A fun and relaxed day!

Saturday 27th April - Fundraising Race Night Evening 18h - midnight. – A fun evening! Volunteers needed to assist with smooth running of the event - selling tickets for the bets, counting money and paying out winnings. English speaking are preferable as most at event will be ex-pats communicating in English. Good level of responsibility required for dealing with cash transactions and mental arithmatic under noise and time pressure! Ideally you could meet with Rebekah to discuss the logistics prior to the event.

Saturday 11th May - Literacy in the Park 10h Protected content as for Saturday 13th April above

Saturday 18th May - AISM May Fair - Livro Aberto stall people to assist with activities and promotion of LA

Saturday 8th June - Livro Aberto Children's Day Fair - We need in the region of 50 volunteers to cover the day from 08h Protected content , to help with activities and stalls and general smooth running of the day. Ideally volunteers would meet before event to allocate roles and give a briefing. We need a volunteer manager for this as well, who will coordinate volunteers on the day and ensure everything goes to plan!
