Informed Consent and Letter of Invitation to Participate in the Study

Dear Business Leader,

As an MBA student at the University of Liverpool, I would like to invite you to be a part of an MBA research study on intellectual intelligence and cultural intelligence and effective global leadership. The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between intellectual intelligence and cultural intelligence and effective global leadership and which of the components of intellectual intelligence and cultural intelligence, if any are the most essential for effective global leadership. Participants would include senior executives and managers with not less than two Protected content of global business responsibilities either in for profit or not for profit global organizations in various industries and headquartered in many countries. I am asking you to participate because of your current role as a business leader in global business.

In the event that you agree to be part of the research study, you will be required to take part in an online survey questionnaire that has been posted on Survey Methods: Protected content . The survey will ask for your perceptions on the components of demographic and organization background, intellectual intelligence, cultural intelligence and characteristics of global leadership effectiveness. The survey is expected to take between 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

While there may not be any direct benefits accruing to you in being a part of the study, it is our hope that this study will be of great benefits to the development of future global leaders. There is also no monetary compensation for being part of this study but you will have the opportunity of receiving the results of the study on request and may keep this letter for your records.

There will be no link to your survey responses by future researchers, but if you decide to provide your contact information, it will allow others know that you were part of the study, but any information that would identify you would not be included when the results of the study is published. This is a voluntary participation request and strictly confidential and I would like to inform you that there is no right or wrong answer but your candid response is what is needed.
