Please help us find a home for our sweet cats! (Maputo)

Hello animal lovers!

Are you new in town and looking to make your house really feel like home? Are your kids begging for a pet for Christmas? Would you like a friend to come home to after a stressful day at work? Guy and Shredder are just the cats that you need!

We took them in from the street about a year ago and have worked with the organization PATA to get them vaccinated, spayed/neutered, healthy and hooked on cat food instead of trash can food scraps. They are super affectionate. Shredder loves watching TV on the couch and is particularly fond of NCIS. Guy's favorite pastime is waiting by the front door to welcome us home with his signature purring, jumping face rub on your knees. Shredder and Guy live in Maputo, but are willing to relocate.

Can you help us find a good home for them? It is so tough for us that we are not able to take them back with us because we really love them, be we have 2 cats of our own that we are flying back to the US already!

Guy
Guy is a very handsome orange and white cat, who is extremely affectionate and loves to be pet and carried around the house. Guy likes to wait by the door for his human friends to come home from work and welcome them back with lots of purring and leg rubbing. Guy had many struggles with a tough life on the streets. In addition to lots of battle wounds from defending his family from other cats, he also had to have surgery last year to repair his leg which we think was shot with a pellet gun. After such a tough early life, it’s even more amazing to see what a sweet and loving cat Guy has become. He is healthy and happy now, and ready for a new home.

Shredder
What Shredder lacks in size and tail length (she only has half a tail!), she certainly makes up for in personality! This little girl loves curling up on the couch with you to watch a movie or sleeping at your feet at night. Shredder is about a year and half old and is a small orange cat. She is very affectionate towards people, but likes to be the boss with other cats – even our other male cats who are twice her size! She is probably best suited to a single cat home. Shredder is a very low maintenance cat who is neat and tidy. She can happily stay on her own for a few days at a time while you spend a long weekend away, and she’ll still love you just as much when you get home.
