British burials in Marbella

Sorry to introduce this morbin topic, but I am hoping someone here can help me. I am acting for a friend whose mother lost track of her father when he abandoned the family. We have recently learned that he died in Marbella, sometime within the last 20 years.

Can any expats advise me what are the traditions of burial for expats in the area? Is there a cemetery they tend to use?

Any suggestions as to how my friend can find his grandfather's grave would be very much appreciated.
