Safety in Llanogrande, Antioquia (Medellin)

Hi, my husband and i visited Medellin a year ago and fell in love with the Llanogrande area and are planning to relocate in the near future. He is British, I am from Colombia but have lived in the States for 34 years. We are not rich by any means and would live of Social Security and some pensions. What are the chances of my husband or myself being kidnap? Could you tell about safety issues in Llanogrande. I know the weather is fabulous and the people really nice but how safe is it?
