asking some suggestions (Melbourne)

Dear Fellow InterNations,

I wanna ask your suggestions about finding a supervisor for my doctoral application. I interest to study Economics at Australia and my interesting dissertation is related to economic integration in financial services for ASEAN nations. I interest to apply to universities in Australia such as U of Sydney, U of Melbourne, ANU, etc. All of my documents such as motivation statement, resume and dissertation proposal are already finished.

Could you give me some recommended universities and professors? or some tactics to do to get a great supervisor? becoz I have tried to find a supervisor since the beginning of this year, but I didnt get any response from them. I think it may need some personal connection, right? Pls feel free to let me know. It's so useful for me. Thank you so much. ^_^
