Moving to Melbourne from London hubby Dr

Hi all

Looking for some advice and to get to know people
who are in the medical field or thier partners.

My husband is a GP and we are moving to Melbourne
as he's been offered a good opportunity there.

He will work in the Epping area but we are looking to live in
Doncaster or Templestowe. Like people's feedback on these areas please.
I understand there is no train in those areas, would that be a problem
if going into central Melbourne for the day?

Any other area that is recommended for a family, around Protected content drive from Epping? Good private schooling, a bit multi-cultural, nice large houses?

Anyone familiar with Briar Hill? Is that a good area?

My research shows Melbourne is very expensive. Food, clothes, cars, mobile contracts, TV for instance for foxtel, which is like sky costs $200 a month for full package, that sounds way too much?? How are people coping with
that side of things? Any info, advice would be grately appreciated.
