Run/walk against austerity in December (Melbourne)

Hi everyone

A group of us is aiming to organise a joint run/walk against austerity in December gathering the Portuguese, Greek, Italian and Spanish communities. I though you might be interested to know more about it and maybe even join us.

We would like to have a representative of each community to help plan the run and choose charities in each country for participants to send their run/walk participant fee via our website linking them directly to their chosen charities.

We are creating a website page for it and drafting a petition for people to sign to send to the European commission. We aim to protest against austerity measures in our countries via the petition and the run which is to provide a small contribution to assist disadvantage people and show that we might be in the other side of the world but we still care that so many people are losing their jobs and in financial hardship.
