SMALL STAKE, BIG LIMITATIONS (Melbourne)

SMALL STAKE, BIG LIMITATIONS

An elephant is tied to a foot-long stake when they are born. Because they are young they can’t pull the stake out. It isn’t long before they quit fighting and accept they can’t overpower the stake.

As an adult, this same elephant does not realize that its relationship to the limiting stake has changed dramatically with its passage into adulthood.

Its strength is now far superior to what it was as a young elephant. This animal has become mentally conditioned.

Are there parts of your youth that you bring with you into adulthood that, like the elephant, are limiting your experience now?

You have undoubtedly learned many things as you’ve grown.
Your strength has increased in many different areas of your life.

Is it time you draw on what power you have now and pull that stake out of the ground for good?

What stakes were you tied to in your youth to which you are still tethered?

Write these down in your Journal. Draw a stake on the page and draw a line connecting these items to the stake.

Are their limiting beliefs that you ascribe to that are holding you back?
Have there been comments or efforts to keep you down that have exhausted you up to now?

Do you see that you have the strength and insight to overcome these now that you are older and have more experience?

Are you willing to pull up the stake that is holding you back?

Can you see that it won’t cause you harm to do so? Quite the contrary, it is what has been necessary all along.

Refer to this drawing often.

Make the decision that although you were too young to escape when you were tied to these tethers in the past, you are older and stronger now.

And you are armed with a sound mind and tools you’ve never had before. Pull up the stake and move on with your life.

Thinking of working from home and starting your own business?

Awesome!
