Working and Living in Australia (Melbourne)

I am a Canadian who is interested in looking into getting a working visa to work in Australia. Does anyone know or any Canadians who are living there now would assist me in answering some of my questions.

What is the easiest process to proceed with this. I am a personal fitness trainer and instructor and also have experience in sales /marketing and visual merchandising industry. Is it best to go to Australia to look for jobs there or look for an employer that could also sponsor me as their employee? Since i do not know anyone there, I am sure it will be challenging at first. I haven't been to Australia either, but heard it is a beautiful place.

I hope someone can answer my questions and possibly assist me with this, I just do not know what is the best route to take>
