Lights (Mexico City)

We will need to buy lights when we get to DF. (I'm bummed there is no IKEA, it would make things so much easier when setting up house).

Can anyone recommend a store with lots of variety of ceiling lights and lamps with good prices?

A related question: I'm assuming that our European lights will not function in Mexico based on a few forum threads I've read elsewhere. But as long as there aren't any resistors, regulators or ballasts. shouldn't the current go straight through to the light bulb socket? Then we would only need 120v bulbs. In other words is anyone using their european light fixtures in Mexico? If so how did you do it?
