Mexico City Family Living

Evaluating a possible expatriate assignment in Mexico City. Office is in Santa Fe. Both husband and wife speak Spanish (wife's native language). We have 2 kids under 4 years old. Unsure of housing options at this time.

Our primary concern is a community life for our kids. What types of activities are available for kids? Is there much green space. If living in Santa Fe, does traffic turn an afternoon outing into an all day affair? What neighborhoods should we consider that can help balance time at the office with family time? If both of us work, what childcare/education options are available? We would probably tend to avoid education options where English is the primary language.
