Where to find a fiador? (Mexico City)

Hey everybody,
Does anyone know if it's possible to hire a fiador, or if there are any alternatives?
I'm looking to move house in February, and it seems all the best value places need fiadors. What is the requirement for someone acting as a fiador? Do people ever accept fiadors from outside Mexico?
