Let's Go Kayaking and Snorkeling - On Sept. 28 (Miami)

Same details are listed below from last time, except launch time and Snorkeling is 1hour before because of the tide change.

We had so much fun last time, everybody said we have to do it again.
So bring a friend tell a co-worker or come alone. There will be plenty of people to be paired up with.

On Sept. 28, Come join us for a Beautiful day of Kayaking or PaddleBoarding the famous Peanut Island. Once we arrive we will Snorkel the amazing artificial reefs on the East side of the Island.

Few of us will be carpooling so comment and let me know If you would like to carpool. We will launch at 9:00 AM so get there about 15 minutes early. paddles up at 9:15.
High Tide is at 11:45pm. We will be snorkeling the amazing manmade reefs of Peanut Island from 10:00 AM to 1:00 P.M. Of course you can stay out there longer.

Most of you will need to rent a Kayak or PaddleBoard and Snorkel gear. We are getting the best rate with a local water sports company at the Riviera Beach Marina. Please contact Aram Kulhanjian at Protected content Tina Nwaisser at Protected content be paired with a Kayaking Buddy.

The best rates we found are as follows:
Tandem Kayak rental 5hrs - $16 Per person
Snorkel Gear - $10 Per Person
If you choose a Paddle Board instead of a Kayak, they are - $32

If you have your own Snorkel Gear, great!!
If you are thinking about purchasing your own before coming along, I recommend it. I am sure this will not be the last time you want to go Snorkeling especially after this trip is over. Aram has made reservation in advance to get us the best group rate for our trip.
For those of you who want to go over early or will arrive later, we will see you over on the Island. When arriving to the island we beach our Kayaks on the East Side of Peanut Island in front of the Rock Pile Snorkel Area and just North of the Life Guard Stations. ( see photo )

We will paddle to the rock piles where there is incredible snorkeling in shoulder deep water. The fish come right up to you and swim all around you. The tide will be perfect and this adventure will be one you won’t want to miss.

The snorkeling is amazing! There are hundreds of tropical marine species occupying these reefs, so be sure to bring an underwater camera if you have one. Even a cheap Kodak underwater camera can adequately capture those moments of joy as you explore life under the sea!

FOOD: People pack picnics, snacks and beverages all Kayaks have space to carry one small to medium size cooler. Bring just enough to keep you energetic during the trip, we will be going to dinner after. Dinner spot has yet to be decided, where we go is up to you. When Leaving: People renting kayaks from the Riviera Beach Marina will paddle North off the shore and head toward the West end of Peanut Island to cross to the mainland to finish our adventure.

Be sure to bring your water, snack, sunglasses, hat or visor, sunscreen, snorkel, mask, fins, water shoes, sandals if you want to walk the one mile very hot pavers that circle the Island.

IT WILL BE VERY HOT SO PACK PLENTY OF FLUIDS AND SUNSCREEN !

We will paddle back to Riviera Beach Marina by 1: Protected content PM based upon tides.
