Need help from you (Miami)

Hi there,

My husband has to relocate to US in the coming month. His company gave him two options to choose. One is Miami and another one is Charleston. We are Asians from Vancouver,BC. We would like to know about the cost of living, medicare, safe neighborhood, etc. If we don't move to any of the US locations, we have to move to Halifax, NS.
Can anyone out there has an answer for us? Any suggestion will be appreciated.
