Which bank do you use? (Milan)

Hi,

I just moved to MIlan and am looking at setting up a bank account.

I noticed that banks here charge opening fees, monthly fees and transaction fees, something that we have not encountered overseas before. A friend of mine also told me that he had to pay EUR100 to close his account.

In this regard, does anyone have any banks to recommend that do not incur all these fees? Or is that standard fare in Milan?
