Peanuts in Liberia? (Monrovia)

Hey all - quick question, I got a job offer in Liberia, but now my organisation stated that peanut is widely used in Liberia and are afraid to send me because I have a very serious, potentially life threatening peanut allergy. Can people here, who live in Monrovia give me a brief view on what you think? Is peanut oil used a lot? Would it be possible to avoid the contact with peanuts?
I need to make a decision by tomorrow - so would be great to hear back:)
