It's with great pleasure that we are able to announce an exceptional event for our Club:
François Pienaar, the emblematic captain of the historic Protected content Cup winning Springboks team, who received the trophy from the hands of Nelson Mandela and whose heroic role was played by Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood’s film “Invictus”, has kindly agreed to be our guest of honour on Saturday September 5 for what promises to be a fantastic day.

The day will commence by a training session for the members of our Rugby School in the presence of François Pienaar, and will culminate with a gala dinner to be held at the Fairmont Monte Carlo hotel at 20h.

We hope that you will be able to join us for this excellent dinner which will be prepared by Philippe Joannes, Fairmont Chief Executive and winner of the prestigious “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” award.

You will be able to meet François Pienaar and ask questions at the Q&A session which will follow the meal. We’re sure that on the eve of the Protected content World Cup the debate will be lively !

There’s more too – French rugby fans automatically associate “Invictus” with the epic semi-final between South Africa and France in Durban, a nail biting match played in a mud bath, from which the Springboks emerged with a narrow victory. We have therefore invited several French rugby internationals from that period, including Aubin Hueber – the Blues’ scrum-half.

Completing the guest list will be former France and Toulouse centre Yannick Jauzion, as well as one of the best forwards of all times Christian Califano and Dan Luger, Protected content Champion with England !!!

All in all, a great line-up of rugby legends (plus a few surprises), in a marvellous setting – we hope you can join us there. Please let your friends know about the event too.
