Should I move to Monterrey July 2013?

Hey All,
I am thinking about taking a teaching job in Monterrey, Mexico. Would any of you recommend, or not recommend moving there? I am traveling with my 8 year old son.
If people were willing to list their top 5 pros and cons about the place, It think I might be able to judge better than from news reports.
