Colonia del Sacramento (Montevideo)

Hi there,
just started a new project in Montevideo that keeps me busy here for 1,5 years. Since 3 weeks I´ve seen nothing but the factory, office and hotel. Although I haven´t seen much of Montevideo yet I feel like breaking out for one day.

All my colleagues told me that Colonia del Sacramento is wonderful and that one should have been there once in a lifetime.

Does anyone have experience in going there, if it´s really worth a days trip?
