If am a freelancer for clients outside Uruguay, how significant is the difference between creating a self-employ company and paying standard income tax as an individual? Is one arrangement preferable to the other?
I heard that, as a self-employ company, my family will be covered by health insurance I would otherwise need to pay for myself as an individual. Furthermore, I have also heard the monthly costs of maintaining a self-employ company are roughly equivalent to the amount I would be paying for family health insurance as an individual. If this is true, it would seem that creating a self-employ company might be the way to go.
I'd like to confirm what I've heard and welcome responses from anyone with experience or expertise on these matters. Thank you very much!
